About Electrical Resistance Conversion

Electrical resistance measures how strongly a material opposes the flow of electric current. The SI unit is the ohm (Ω), named after Georg Simon Ohm. According to Ohm's Law (V = IR), resistance relates voltage to current.

Milliohms are used for precision shunt resistors and wire resistance, ohms for general components, kilohms for signal conditioning, megohms for insulation testing, and gigohms for ultra-high impedance circuits.
